About Me
I'm CEO of factis research GmbH located in the pretty town of Freiburg, Germany, that some of you may know from ICFP 2007. Our team develops advanced mobile business applications for Android, J2ME and iOS. We're using Haskell for many backend servers of our mobile products. We mainly use free software to develop, deploy and run our products and services. We try to open source many libraries and tools. Other languages, tools and technologies we use apart from Haskell include PostgreSQL, Python, Java, XSLT, Objective-C, Google Web Toolkit and Protocol Buffers, Gentoo and Debian GNU/Linux, Emacs, LaTeX. We are currently working very hard on releasing our next big product: a mobile, electronic health record application for the iPad with a Haskell server for implementing the synchronisation between hospital medical information systems and our iPad app.
