About Me
I got hooked with Haskell when it was my first language in university. I helped others from the first hour and soon became good enough to help my professor teach the same class the next year. While sitting with others in an advanced class on subjects like monads, I did my first experiments with arrows. And then... no task to get my teeth into anymore. The university had switched back to Java, and noone needed my skills. I tried to dive deeper into category theory and learn on other fronts, but found little help. So I focused on different things. But since this time I tried to get freelance Haskell jobs and am currently working on something for Pandoc.
My dream is to one day have enough free time to try to get ghc working on android through llvm. But I'm also following everything web-related because as much as I like Haskell, I still have to convince myself it's the best choice for one of my part-time start-ups.
Another dream: Haskell as a visual programming language. I love creating graphical user interfaces and have developed several graph manipulation tools in other languages. Maybe one day I can combine both in a serious way... maybe through android or the web as a platform?
Alas, the world tries to keep me separated from my favorite langage...
